The flame-free venting device consists of two parts—an explosion vent panel and a flame quenching module. The explosion vent panel responds rapidly to rising deflagration pressure, opening immediately to relieve pressure. As the expanding fireball passes through the open vent panel, it is intercepted by the quenching module. The precision stainless steel mesh, supported by a frame, acts as a three-dimensional flame trap, extinguishing the flame and preventing propagation, thereby avoiding secondary or multiple explosions. The quenching module eliminates deflagration flames, reduces the temperature of hot gases, and captures both burning and unburned dust passing through the open vent panel.
Simultaneously, pressure waves or noise generated by production equipment are significantly reduced. When flames pass through the mesh flame arrestor, heat exchange occurs between the arrestor and the flame, rapidly cooling the high-temperature flame while venting pressure and smoke. Additionally, pressure waves or noise from the equipment are minimized.

With increasingly stringent environmental and safety regulations, safety has become a major concern. Traditionally, explosion vent panels were installed on dust collectors to release overpressure caused by dust explosions. However, such installations indoors are not permitted by safety regulations due to risks to nearby personnel and equipment, as pressure waves and flames from explosions could trigger secondary or multiple explosions. Therefore, relying solely on explosion vent panels for dust collectors is insufficient. We recommend using flame-free venting combined with isolation technology (a cost-effective solution) or explosion suppression with isolation technology to ensure production safety.

Venting: Releases explosion pressure in advance through a pressure relief device to protect equipment from damage.
Isolation: Uses an isolation valve to block the explosion and prevent flame propagation.
Suppression: Detection devices identify sparks and trigger fire suppression systems to instantly extinguish flames, preventing explosions.
